Online Registration (Employers)

Beginning in June, 500 eligible young people, 17–21 years of age, will be ready for summer employment as Workforce Alliance Summer Youth Employment and Training interns.

Workforce Alliance fully funds the six-week paid-work youth experience, up to 30 hours per week, for each qualified job opening. In turn, business partners in communities throughout Palm Beach County will be helping young people gain valuable work experience, knowledge, skills, and character-building personal and professional growth that is so necessary for their future successes.


To participate, employers must agree to NOT

  • Displace or reduce the work hours of current employees
  • Violate existing contracts or collective bargaining agreements
  • Replace work that was previously performed by employees who were affected by layoffs

Qualifications

To be a business partner, organizations can be not-for-profit, for-profit or government agencies, and must
  • Provide youth with productive work and proper adult supervision for the entire duration of the internship
  • Abide by all federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Follow facilities health and safety regulations
  • Comply with Workforce Alliance Summer Youth Employment and Training guidelines
All childcare programs and facilities also must have a current license or permit to operate.
