Online Registration (Youth)

Beginning in June, 500 eligible young people, 17–21 years of age, will be ready for summer employment as Workforce Alliance Summer Youth Employment and Training interns.

The Workforce Alliance “Earn and Learn” summer work experiences for Palm Beach County youth will be from June 25 to August 3, 2012. These Summer Youth Employment and Training Internships include three days of work readiness training June 12, 13 and 14.

Participants – who will work no more than 30 hours per week during the summer internship and will earn the current minimum wage of $7.67 per hour – will be employed at local governmental organizations (schools, libraries, municipalities, etc.), as well as profit and not-for-profit companies.

Qualifications

To become a Workforce Alliance Summer Youth Employment and Training intern, participants must qualify based on economic eligibility and be faced with two or more barriers. Participants also must show proof of:
  • Age
  • Citizenship/right to work in the United States
  • Social Security card
  • Selective Service registration (males 18+ years of age)
  • Barriers
  • Family income
