Today, Governor Charlie Crist announced the release of $165 million in federal economic stimulus funds. A link to the news release is below:

These funds will greatly enhance the workforce system’s ability to provide additional employment services to the people of Florida. The Agency released the funds today to the state’s 24 Regional Workforce Boards to provide a wide variety of training and job placement services, including matching job seekers with businesses, providing summer employment opportunities for young people, and assisting Floridians at One-Stop Career Centers around the state.

The Agency remains dedicated to getting Floridians back to work and serving the workforce needs of our business community as we work together to reignite Florida’s economy.
