Job Seekers

As the county's workforce catalyst, our goal is to help job seekers with one or a combination of the following:

  • Obtaining employment
  • Securing services to help gain self-sufficiency
  • Gaining work skills to obtain employment
  • Upgrading skills to maintain employment

We offer a wide variety of resources through both the Career Centers in Palm Beach County and this web site. These include:

  • Online Job Search & Career Information giving you access to an assortment of job banks, covering a multitude of occupations
  • Local Labor Market Information for Palm Beach County/Region 21, helping you research what jobs are in demand and how much they pay
  • Career Centers with PCs, Internet connections, printers, copiers, fax machines, and phones for conducting a job search
  • Professional Placement Centers where unemployed professionals can attend seminars, network, and obtain counseling while conducting a job search
  • Training opportunities that help you gain in-demand skills or upgrade your skills
  • Work Certified course -- Using a national, industry-based skills standard, along with a certification process, Work Certified equips attendees with key skills that employers look for when hiring. Local Treasure Coast businesses have begun endorsing this course, now set to expand into Palm Beach County. Contact a Career Center about signing up for this pre-paid (via your tax dollars) training.

  • Work Certified Certification Exam
  • Unemployment online, allowing you to file quickly and conveniently from home, a Career Center, or your local library
