October 2, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WORKFORCE ALLIANCE HOSTS ENTERPRISE ZONE BENEFITS Belle Glade, FL – October 2, 2007 – Workforce Alliance, in partnership with the Palm Beach County Resource Center, the Palm Beach County Office of Economic Development and the Florida Department of Revenue will host a Florida Enterprise Zone Benefits Workshop for new and existing business owners, on Thursday, October 11, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. in the West Career Center. The Workforce Alliance West Career Center is located at 1085 South Main Street in Belle Glade. Denny Abbott, Workforce Alliance Business Services Consultant said “The workshop will provide detailed information and guidance in obtaining substantial financial sales tax refund benefits, new job tax credits, other sales and corporate tax exemptions and credits. New and existing business owners will be offered assistance with filing applications for the many no-cost resources available and access to the variety of free services provided to businesses by Workforce Alliance to support recruitment, job placement and training programs.” At the conclusion of the workshop, individual consultations will be offered to each participant. The workshop is offered by the Broadway Re-Investment Coalition (BRIC), under a Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties grant (John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Fund) for the Florida Enterprise Zone Outreach Program.
