YOUTH PROGRAMS
Workforce Alliance presently funds five year-round youth programs designed to prepare economically disadvantaged youths in Palm Beach County for success in the workplace. The programs are geared toward the demands of local employers who are searching for workers who have a combination of reading, writing and math skills and who are aware of typical employer expectations.

The programs include basic skills training, career planning and development, and work skills improvement. Two of the programs are for youth presently attending school, and three are for out-of-school youth.

IN-SCHOOL YOUTH PROGRAMS
There are two programs for in-school youth. Priority for enrollment are juniors or seniors who are nearing high school completion and are at risk of dropping out of school, in need of academic assistance and interested in pursuing employment or post secondary school after graduation.

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. provides the TechBridge™ program for WIA-eligible youth, primarily juniors and seniors who are enrolled in participating secondary schools. It is a year-round program designed to serve youths who are potential school dropouts and provide opportunities for better education, job training, life skills and employment.  (Delray, WPB and Riviera Beach)
